A healthy diet can not protect you from possible virus infections. But it can strengthen your body so that it will dispose with disease quickly and efficiently through generating antibodies. Doctors have known for a long time that people who eat well-balanced and vitamin-rich food suffer much less from illnesses and recover much faster. That’s why it’s a good idea to make a point of strengthening your immunity during flu epidemics and acute respiratory viral infections.

Apples, cranberries, pomegranates, persimmons, kiwi fruit are rich in many important vitamins including vitamin C. - Fresh onion and garlic are healthy as a part of salads or other dishes. They are known for their anti-bacterial and antiviral properties and they can help put down illness without developing complications.
- You can also enhance immunity through using spices in meals. Turmeric, ginger, dill, fennel, parsley possess wonderful therapeutic properties. They are very helpful in flu prevention.
