Family Meals and Children’s Health
Boffins from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign published the results of 17 researches embracing 182,000 children in the Pediatrics Journal.
The researchers say that children who often share meals with their families have a significantly less pronounced habit of having irregular snacks which is one of the earliest symptoms of eating disorders. There is a direct interrelation between children’s health and families having meals together. A family meal is a protective factor.
Children who eat with their families regularly are usually healthier, have the obesity development risk lower by 35% and acquire healthy eating habits. Regularly means at least three times a week
