Fresh waffles are a great breakfast. The dough can be prepared the night before; it is stored well in the refrigerator. Therefore, if you have a waffle iron, nothing prevents you from cooking.
Ingredients for Waffles with Ricotta
- Ricotta: 200 gr.
- Yogurt, kefir or sour cream: 100 gr.
- 3 large eggs.
- Salt, sugar to taste.
- Baking powder: 1, 5 tsp
- Flour: 2 cups.
- Soft butter 100 gr.
Recipe for Waffles with Ricotta
- Mix all ingredients. If the dough is thick, add some more kefir. The dough should not be too fluid or too thick. It should be easy to smear on the waffle iron.
- Butter the waffle iron and bake waffles on medium heat. They should be baked through well, but not burnt. Temperature adjust so, that the wafers were prepared dry. On our waffle iron is the number 3.
- Serve them with berries, syrup, or honey.
