Making Cheese Fritters
Cheese fritters, small flour cakes made with farmer cheese, are very popular in Russia and the Ukraine. They are often served with sour cream and jam. This recipe tells how to make cheese fritters melting and soft inside with a crispy crust outside.
Ingredients for Cheese Fritters
- 0.9 lb 5% granulated farmer cheese
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons semola
- 1-2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- a pinch of salt
- vegetable oil for frying
Recipe for Cheese Fritters
- Mix eggs with farmer cheese, semola and flour. Add sugar, salt and mix everything carefully.
- Pour oil into a frying pan to cover the bottom and a little more and heat it.
- Put the dough into the frying pan with a table spoon. Fry cheese fritters on medium heat until they acquire a golden color.
