A competition for the best ice cream was held in the Umbria region of Italy, the province of Terni. 40 chefs who presented the original ice cream flavors in 20 regions took part in the contest.
Despite the rainy weather, the show attracted a large number of visitors who tasted the sweet product three days in a row.
The first place in the contest went to Ligurian ice cream – lemon & basil sorbet. More than 60 000 visitors chose it.
The second place went to Umbrian ice cream with the Sabayon flavor – egg custard and wine.
The third place was awarded to the pistachio ice cream from Basilicata.
