Electrified Potato help fight cancer and diabetes
Japanese scientists discovered that droughts and other stressful situations can stimulate accumulation of wholesome phenolic compounds in fresh fruits and vegetables.
Lead researcher Kazunori Hironaka, Ph.D., declared that upon treating potato with ultrasound or electricity for the period of 5 to 30 minutes the amount of antioxidants (including phenols and chlorogenic acid) by 50%.
Scientists believe it can be used for producing super-potato that will be able to prevent developing cancer and diabetes.
