Barese breakfast, Italy
The fresh smell of the salty sea. This is the Adriatic! We are in the south of Italy, the port city of Bari, the capital of the Apulia region.
Apulian cuisine combines strong flavors of sea and land gifts. Today, we will try the taste of the sea.
While in the north of Italy the traditional breakfast is coffee and brioche, here it is a variety of fresh seafood, which true Bari dwellers eat raw and live, right after the night fishing.
The most delicious delicacies – sea urchins, cuttlefish, octopus, oysters, mussels, shrimps. All this is sold in abundance at the local sea market.
