The USA and Mexico Overcome by Obesity Epidemic
According to a report issued by OECD (the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, uniting 33 leading world economic systems), the most “obese” countries of the globe are the USA and Mexico. Approximately 50% of the population in these countries are overweight. It’s a veritable epidemic. Obesity became a predominant problem of governmental health policies all over the world.
The main reasons of obesity are
- Abundance and easy availability of fast food and ready-to-cook food. People are neglecting cooking traditional dishes from natural products under the influence of the devious and intrusive advertising campaigns of the present-day food industry;
- Lack of sleep and stressful lifestyle are also closely linked with putting on excessive weight, as well as decrease of physical activity.
Have the lowest obesity: Japan 3% Korea 4% Switzerland 8%, Italy 10%, Norway 10%.
