The Mint Syrup and Mint Milk Recipe
When it’s as hot as is now, we enjoy drinking cold skim milk with mint syrup. It is refreshing and pleasant to drink, and quenches thirst well. Besides, it is a good source of calcium and robust protein.
We buy mint syrup made from natural mint, without any coloring agents or other chemicals, therefore biologically pure; it includes only mint, water and sugar.
If you cannot find it in your stores, try and make it yourself.
Mint Syrup Recipe
- Crumple up fresh mint (about 0.3 lb). Pour boiling water over it (about 4 glasses). Let it brew.
- Drain, add sugar (1 glass sugar per 1 glass liquid) and boil for about 5 minutes.
You will get a transparent and flavorful syrup. Add it to cold milk to taste and enjoy.
You can also add this syrup to other cocktails, ice cream or any desserts.
