The Mediterranean diet is a system of nourishment that has been preserved next to intact from the time immemorial. Its main ingredients are olive oil, cereals, fruits and vegetables, also seasoning, spices, fish, dairy products and a little meat. It is customarily washed down by grape wine.
But the Mediterranean diet is more than just eating habits. It includes intercourse, the whole family usually coming together for a meal.
The Mediterranean diet is extremely salubrious. It provides potent protection from cardiovascular diseases, overweight, the cancer, hypertension and diabetes.
