Grape Is Good for Skin
For a long time carrot was thought to be the best natural skin protector from solar radiation. But recently new and stronger protecting compounds have been found in grape.
A research conducted by experts from the University of Barcelona and the Spanish National Research Council reveals that polyphenol compounds found in grape help protect the skin cells from ultraviolet rays.
These rays affect the skin generating free radicals. Spanish scientists proved that the polyphenols in grape weaken this harmful process.
It is ultraviolet radiation that causes sunburns, swellings and premature ageing of the dermis and epidermis.
Therefore experts advise a regular intake of grapes and grape juice on hot days, especially when you take sun baths. Give your skin a good rub-down with grapepit oil after the bath.
