Giant Avocado

Here’s welcome news for all lovers of Guacamole – giant-sized avocados hit the store shelves! (Only British store shelves, unfortunately.) They look like melons and weigh more than 3 lbs. The pulp of these giants has creamy texture with nut flavor.

The monster avocados are grown in the valley of Chincha, Peru. To make the fruit grow to this whooping size and acquire the strong taste they let it grow in the tree for about a year.

One such avocado is enough to prepare an assortment of horse d’oeuvres for a big dinner.
