The studies show that adding 42 grams of dark chocolate with 81% cocoa to the daily diet helps to lose weight faster than the traditional diet prohibiting chocolate.
German researchers have united volunteers into three groups: one group followed a low-carb diet; the second group received a diet that was combined with 42 g of dark chocolate per day. The third control group did not follow any diet.
After monitoring changes in weight and a series of metabolic parameters of the participants, the experts have seen that, compared with the control group, which did not follow any diet, the other groups lost weight.
However, those who ate chocolate were able to lose weight more than others. The consumption of chocolate improved sleep quality, also reduced the level of cholesterol. Chocolate was able to maintain the results achieved for a long time.
