Researchers from University of Basel, Switzerland, discovered that red can help reduce portions. It emerges that when you eat off a red plate you get the sated feeling faster. The same goes for red glasses – you can quench your thirst having drunk half the quantity of beverages.
Scientists say that blue and white kitchenware is not so efficacious on that scope.
The study involving 109 volunteers was published in the Appetite journal.
