American pancakes are thick and amazingly soft and silky. They are so easy to make that they come out fine even if you haven’t made them before. Pancakes with maple syrup is the Americans’ favorite dish they just can’t get enough of! But you can also serve them with honey, cream or jam.

  • 0.2 – 0.3 lb flour
  • 0.6 pt milk or yoghurt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoonful baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoonful sugar
  • butter

Cooking Instructions

  1. Separate yolks from whites.
  2. Mix yolks with milk, flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Beat up whites until they become hard spikes, add into the dough and mix up.
  4. Warm up a frying pan on medium heat and butter it.
  5. Pour in dough in small quantities, fry for several minutes on each side until golden.
  6. Butter the ready pancakes and pour over with maple syrup.

  • These look so yummy! I have been waiting for our Farmers Market to open so that I can buy up some good and very reasonably priced pure maple syrup! We love pancakes at our house and even though I love to make things from scratch, I started using a mix bc it did not require eggs and our son has an allergy. BUT – it turns out that these Kamut Khorasan Wheat pancakes are so good and so healthy that I just love make them with this mix!
