We already know that bitter dark chocolate improves blood circulation in brain, provides energy, lifts our spirit and contains a lot of antioxidants. But new studies have added to the list, revealing dark chocolate can also promote weight loss. Scientists experimentally found that milk and dark chocolate affects our body differently.
The experiment involved a large group of young people who, at the first stage, had to abstain from food during 12 hours. At the second stage, each participant in one group ate a bar of dark chocolate while the other group had milk chocolate. Five hours later every participant had a full lunch. Scientists found that those who ate dark chocolate had lower appetite and they felt full very quickly. Besides, they ate considerably less of salty, fatty and sweet meals which are known to promote excessive weight.
