Almond Promotes Beauty and Health

New scientific reports revealed unknown health benefits of almond. Just recently, researchers have found powerful antioxidants in almond nuts, which normalize cholesterol metabolism and help other metabolic processes.

American heart experts from Connecticut performed a series of tests involving a large group of individuals. They were asked to eat a handful of almond nuts (25-30 g) during the day. The experiment lasted one month. After analyzing the results the researches found a drop in bad cholesterol levels and improvement in elasticity of blood vessels in all patients. So scientists strongly encourage almond nuts – as well as dark chocolate and red wine – to be included into everyday diet for lower risk of heart attack and stroke. Heart experts even developed a special diet based on these foods designed to protect heart and ward off another heart attack in those who suffered it before.

Also, almond is successfully used in cosmetology for smoothing out wrinkles and moisturizing. Flavonoids in almond have a very positive effect on our skin. Almond helps to keep the skin young because it’s also a great source of vitamin E, biotin, calcium and iron. So the regular consumption of almond is a way to stay healthy and good-looking.
